Great piece on explaining psychology behind scientists reticence to scream the truth from the rooftops. I know Peter Kalmus and he absolutely is one scientist who walks the talk. I've emailed with Professor Hansen as well and he is also pretty straightforward about our reality. I fear that our current messaging and action around the water crisis in the Southwest (Colorado River Basin) is a good precursor of how our climate catastrophe will play out...this crisis will hit in the next months and years as opposed to the next years and decades. Very concrete facts that have transmitted to policymakers over the course of last 20 years and yet only now in the time of dire emergency is there a real plan to do something radical. And that's still just a plan until it happens, but stay tuned to the coming months.

Props again, keep spreading the word. I'm attaching one of my Medium op-eds that I've tried to use for messaging our predicament....sent to scientists like Will Steffen that you mention and he's always been positive - some of these guys really are speaking the truth, just need more and louder.
