Yep, but even if we do somehow have some surviving population in the centuries to come, our civilization as we know it will cease to exist. I always chuckle at the "save the planet" talk, since in reality we are talking about saving our own civilization. The planet will recover in how every many millenia it takes to regain equilibrium, we just won't be part of that party anymore.
